STIKE: FGN, ASUU RESUMES NEGOTIATION TODAY
On Saturday 5th January 2019 the
federal government disclosed that it will resume negotiation processes with the
Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) today, with the hope to put an end
to the ongoing industrial action.
This was made known by the minister of labour
Senator Chris Ngige on Saturday 5th January 2019. In the statement,
the meeting is in furtherance to efforts at resolving the on-going strike by
the Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU).
The meeting is scheduled to hold today being the 7th
January 2019 at Minister’s Conference Room By 03:30pm prompt.
On November 5th 2018 Academic Staff
Union Of Universities (ASUU) had commenced an indefinite industrial action to push
for demands based on agreement reached
with the government in 2019.
