Soldiers Invade Daily Trust Office In Borno Arresting Reporter and Editor

Daily Trust regional office in Maiduguri, Borno state capital was invaded by armed soldiers of the Nigeria army  arresting the regional editor and a reporter.

The reason for this action is yet to be made known, but rumours has it that it could be connected with a lead story of the publishers on Sunday about military operation in the region.

The soldiers were said to have shut the gate of the regional office after arresting the aforementioned on sight during the invasion.

The soldiers according to a witness were said to be asking to see one Hamza Idris, a Daily Trust Political Editor who’s name appeared as the editor.
